According to usafacts.org, between the years of 2014 - 2018, over 85% of abortions were performed on single, unmarried women.
This means that if the men who fathered these children stepped up and took responsibility, abortion rates would plummet, with the potential to save hundreds of thousands of lives every year.
But why are men not stepping up?
Because we live in a society where biblical manhood is in rapid decline. It's evident in our marriages, our youth, our government... even on our phones and televisions. Everywhere we look, men have simply stopped being men. Husbands have stopped being husbands. Fathers have stopped being fathers. Our society has perfectly fulfilled the prophecy spoken of in 2 Timothy 3:1-5: "This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof."
This project is a Christian response to this important issue. In a world where we are discouraged against “toxic masculinity”, which is a blanket phrase with no exact definition or parameter, we want to offer a different challenge - one that has been around since sin first entered into the world, and that has the framework and precision necessary to be successful: choosing biblical masculinity over unbiblical masculinity.
US Army chaplain Martin Haley is no stranger to the horrors of warfare. Stationed thousands of miles away from his family in a hostile and dangerous land, Haley ministers to his brothers in arms every day while struggling to keep the faith himself - knowing that at any minute he must be willing to lay down his life for his country, his family, and his friends.
On the other side of the world, Haley’s 18-year-old son Ryker is facing his own kind of warfare. Living in a modern society where biblical manhood is looked down upon, and with his father’s influence being limited to the occasional video messages they exchange, Ryker is torn between ideologies - a struggle that reaches its zenith when he discovers he has gotten a girl pregnant. Will he go the way of the world and flee his responsibility, or will he choose the Lord’s way and learn to lay down his life for others?
Man of God is more than a movie - it is a multifaceted ministry project that we are praying will be used as a starting point for a complete spiritual revival in American men. We want the movie to be readily available to anyone who might be helped by it at the click of a button. That's why our goal is to release Man of God for FREE on our website and on its very own Man of God App.
The Man of God App is only the beginning - Having an app designed to stream the movie on will open the doors for us to offer additional content including parallel Bible studies in manhood, fatherhood, and husbandhood, access to an online support group and even personal counseling for Christian men, testimonies, books, sermons, short films, music, and more - all geared towards the same common goal: to share the saving power of the Gospel with those who are in need of it, and to teach, encourage, and inspire Christian men to rise up and fulfill their God-given purpose.
If it is His will, we pray that God will bring other like-minded people to this project - Christians, especially fathers and husbands - who will join us in making this vision come to life; whether as cast/crew members, producers, prayer warriors, app developers, investors, volunteers, counsellors, preachers, bloggers, musicians, or even just good old-fashioned "word of mouth" supporters! And most of all, we pray that God will use the project - touching hearts, moving consciences, saving souls, and transforming lives through it - all for His eternal glory.
